These Arizona companies made Forbes’ best employer list

Forbes has named seven Arizona companies among its America’s Best Employer list of 2016.

Chandler-based Microchip Technology, Phoenix-based ON Semiconductor Corp. and Phoenix-based Best Western International, the city of Phoenix, Pima County, Arizona Public Service Co. and Tempe-based Amkor Technology

On Forbes’ midsize employer list, Microchip was the highest ranking at No. 63, while ON was No. 83 and Best Western No. 205.

On Forbes’ large company list, the city of Phoenix was ranked 217th, Pima County was 230th, APS ranked 296th and Amkor Technology landed at 368th.

On both lists, several other companies with significant Arizona footprints also ranked high including Costco (No. 3, large); Yelp (No. 20, midsize); USAA (No. 5, large); Mayo Clinic (No. 9, large); Trader Joe’s (No. 20, large); Henkel (No. 392, large); Orbital ATK (No. 457, large) and Intel Corp. (No. 115, large).
